Eagle
Poetry
I saw you launch yourself, and
Swooping over the Burger King,
Dive down towards the Jackson
Focused on your prey.
I swerved to keep my prey, your
Flashing plumes and regal crown
In sight. I lost control. I heard the
Music of the rumble strip.
You made me look up, and nearly
Killed me with your electric presence.
Even in a world of French Fries,
Thunderbird epiphany!
